Who we’re looking for
Toyota's North Carolina Battery Plant (TBMNC) Manufacturing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Toyota Production System (T)/Kaizen Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the implementation, stabilization, and execution of TPS and Continuous Improvement activities, 3 Pillar initiatives, and future technology advancement. This TPS/Kaizen Analyst will report to the TPS/Kaizen Senior Manager.
This person will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement within a company's processes by analyzing current condition on the shop floor and data, facilitating Kaizen activities, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The analyst will focus on engaging employees at all levels to achieve incremental, sustainable changes across operations, using TPS tools and thinking way.
What you’ll be doing
Manage and support key members across production to ensure the successful launch of all battery lines by promoting 3 Pillar.
Direct and guide collaboration with cross functional groups to promote a strong shop floor culture and ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
Execute the successful implementation of Kabuyoka (Daily Gemba activities that focus on cross-functional collaboration and accountability) and support any kaizen activities identified from shop floor activities and results.
Develop and support training on 4S, FMDS, Point Management, and Ownership Maintenance across TBMNC.
Develop A3 documents and strategies to set clear direction and communications.
Learn and use TPS tools to visualize waste.
Support the development of how to implement future technologies.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent professional experience in a manufacturing support role (Production, Production Control, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, etc.).
Manufacturing knowledge and expertise.
Experience in process improvement or lean manufacturing (production, logistics, administrative).
Experience leading continuous improvement projects by defining goals, developing plans, and tracking progress.
Ability to communicate proposed changes to stakeholders, address concerns, and facilitate the adoption of changepoints.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
Added bonus if you have
Leadership role in Jishuken or equivalent activity (kaizen activity) at a manufacturing plant or manufacturing support function.
Experience in supporting a highly technical manufacturing environment.
Experience utilizing Material and Information Flow Chart.
Experience with Toyota’s Standardized Work to establish or improve processes.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating activities.
Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
Toyota Business Practice (TBP) completion or equivalent problem-solving certification.
