Confidential HR Specialist in Liberty Lake, Washington

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Specialist is critical to the success of the Human Resources Department and will exemplify our core values every day. You will undertake a wide range of HR tasks including payroll processing, employee training, full-cycle recruiting, and assisting with administering employee of benefits and leaves. You remain up-to-date on ever-changing laws and assist in maintaining HR/Payroll policies and Safety Program compliance. You will use HRIS to ensure employee records are complete while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. You are people-oriented and act as a main point of contact for employee's queries on HR/Payroll-related topics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources Duties:

  • Assist in administering compensation and benefit plans.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and full-cycle recruitment processes.
  • Assists with onboarding and offboarding process and coordination
  • Conduct employee onboarding and organize personnel training & development initiatives.
  • Act as a main point of contact for employees' queries to provide support on all related topics.
  • Assist with employee leaves of absences.
  • Assist in development, maintenance, and implementation of company policies.
  • Assist with changes/updates to job descriptions, handbook, and compliance notices in electronic and paper form.
  • Maintain employee personnel files through SharePoint and HRIS.
  • Participate in safety programs and committees.
  • Help coordinate employee appreciation events and other employee recognition related items.
  • Prioritize a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently

Payroll Duties:

  • Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 90 employees.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive payroll records to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide management with concise, timely reports that provide pertinent information necessary to make informed decisions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years HR Specialist experience and familiarity with payroll, benefits, LOAs, safety and recruitment, required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce, Concur and/or Office 365, preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email software. Office 365 applications, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and online solutions are the primary tools across the organization. Experience with Epicor, Ceridian Dayforce, Concur helpful.
