Physical Requirements | This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. |
Shift | Primarily day shift 8am-4:30pm Schedule flexibility is important (Potential for occasional nights, weekends, and/or holidays dependent upon department business needs) |
Job Summary | The University of Kentucky is seeking a Tumor Registrar to support the department’s mission of providing timely and compiled information to clinicians and other ancillary personnel, and the Kentucky Cancer Registry in support of educational and legal requirements. This position will complete abstracting, case-finding and follow-up including abstracting data from the medical record charts, and completing abstracting codes using SEER, Solid Tumor Rules, STORE, and AJCC staging rules. The selected candidate will adhere to ACOS Standard 5.2 and abstract RCRS cases first, while maintaining assigned productivity standards. This is a remote position.
