We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, your primary focus will be on maintaining accurate financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee operations of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring that invoices, payments, and financial documents are processed in a timely manner.

• Conduct account reconciliations and assist with budget and forecast preparation.

• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, making necessary adjustments to accounting entries.

• Analyze financial statements, identifying discrepancies and other issues, and bring them to the attention of management.

• Review financial reports and accounting statements to ensure their accuracy.

• Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries related to accounting operations.

• Assist with the creation of monthly management reports and accompanying schedules.

• Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite to maintain and manage financial records.

• Oversee general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of Staff Accountant or similar.

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must.

• Applicant should have a thorough understanding of General Ledger accounts.

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries is necessary.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is essential.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software is needed.

• Familiarity with Oracle financial software is required.

• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.

• Knowledge of SAP financial software is desirable.
