University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union Lending Support Specialist II in Lexington, Kentucky

Title: Lending Support Specialist IIDepartment: Lending SupportReports to: Lending Support SupervisorFLSA: Non-ExemptJob Grade: 8 Job Purpose: Provide support and guidance to members, credit union personnel, and third parties related to lending. Ensure accurate and timely operations of the Credit Union’s post-closing loan processes, while providing excellent service to both members and Credit Union staff. Essential Job Results:JOB SPECIFIC RESULTSProvide Credit Union support for our lending products including, but not limited to, Warranty, GAP, Debt Protection, Depreciation Protection, and Credit Life/Disability, by processing all claims, working with members, posting payments, reporting, contacting third-party providers, and GL reconciliations. Engage appropriate staff, member or third-party when necessary to ensure a streamlined experience for the member.Review Final Title Opinions on all mortgage secured loans to verify and ensure accurate lien position. Follow up with members, attorneys and/or clerk's offices directly when necessary to validate the credit union's lien position.Facilitate First Mortgage servicing by gathering loan documents, completing an audit check, preparing fundings, retaining images, tracking collateral position, and forwarding to Mortgage Servicer. Process First Mortgage monthly and escrow payments as needed and perform account reconciliation for Mortgage Payments monthly. Reach out to members when there are any issues or discrepancies with payments made to the loan servicer.Handle the processing of returned ACH loan payments in a timely manner when received from Deposit Operations. Also responsible for verifying returned HELOC checks; contact members when necessary to ensure understanding of the process and accurate check usage.Perform Escrow management for the credit union by mailing notices, disbursing payments, performing annual analysis, verifying against the member’s account, and answering support questions. Monitor all upcoming distributions; contact insurance companies, county sheriff's offices, and members when necessary to ensure that all escrowed invoices get paid accurately and timely.Facilitate the imaging and retention of mortgage documents by receiving and imaging payoff documentation, original mortgages, and loan files.Ensure Credit Union compliance related to Credit Disputes. Research and respond to all credit disputes received, either directly from the member or via E-Oscar. Perform due diligence to ensure that accurate information is being reported in accordance with the CFPB’s guidelines.Ensure Credit Union compliance related to adverse actions. Perform audits on a sample portion of the daily adverse actions produced to ensure accuracy of the documents, and efficiency in complying with delivery deadlines.Oversee the processing of all payment adjustments, reversals, subordinate actions, off cycle transfers, post-closing buy downs and credit life/disability purchases, and any file maintenance requests received from all Credit Union staff. Ensure the accuracy and compliance of these requests and the forms used to make the request and perform needed research and calculations necessary to complete the requests accurately. Deliver a quality member experience while adhering to Credit Union compliance requirements.Support the Credit Union’s Student Loan partner to address questions and complete daily duties involved in with reporting.Offer Support as needed by addressing questions and researching issues relating to any post-closing lending concerns.Provide lending related reporting and analytics.Assist with lending related projects by working with the project management team and/or upgrading the Credit Union’s loan origination systems.
