We are seeking a Legal Coordinator for a prominent firm in the Lexington Area!

Overview:

The Legal Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing the initial interaction between potential clients and the law firm. This role involves efficiently gathering essential information, assessing case viability, and ensuring a smooth transition to the legal team.

Responsibilities:

Client Intake:

  • Answer incoming calls and emails from potential clients.

  • Conduct initial interviews to gather relevant information about potential cases.

  • Screen incoming cases to determine their suitability for the firm's practice areas.

  • Document case details accurately and efficiently in the firm's case management system.

Case Management:

  • Assign cases to appropriate attorneys or legal assistants.

  • Schedule initial consultations and follow-up appointments.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and case progress.

  • Track case deadlines and ensure timely follow-up.

Client Communication:

  • Provide timely and informative updates to clients regarding their case status.

  • Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.

  • Address client questions and concerns, providing clear and concise explanations.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Prepare legal documents, such as intake forms and client correspondence.

  • Maintain organized client files, both physical and digital.

  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling, billing, and document preparation.

    Requirements • Applicant must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; further legal education or certification is preferred.

• Previous experience in a legal setting or equivalent secretarial role is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology and court system is beneficial.

• Experience with client intake procedures is mandatory.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, lawyers, and other staff.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.

• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.

• Flexibility to work overtime if necessary.

• Knowledge of electronic filing systems is a plus.
