TEKsystems IT Generalist in Lexington, Kentucky

Position Purpose:

  • Support client’s systems, network, and applications.

  • Improve communications, manage risk, and leverage technology to meet business goals.

Duties:

  • Provide technical support to staff, policyholders, agents, and vendors.

  • Implement improvements and regulatory requirements.

  • Investigate, recommend, install, and troubleshoot technologies.

  • Monitor systems and networks for stability and availability.

  • Participate in project planning and execution.

  • Document processes and report progress.

  • Negotiate with vendors for products and services.

  • Collaborate with departments to complete projects.

  • Provide level 2 support for service desk requests.

  • Maintain hardware and software through upgrades and audits.

  • Recommend technology solutions to further business goals.

  • Lead project implementations and meet deadlines.

  • Provide on-call support on a rotational basis.

  • Achieve employee SMART Goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Manage time, prioritize tasks, and perform under pressure.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Intermediate knowledge of networking, client/server systems, and hardware/software.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SCCM, WSUS, Cisco networking, SD-WAN, VPN, Amazon Workspaces, and scripting languages.

  • Ability to learn and become an expert in business systems.

  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum and ITIL preferred.

  • Knowledge of document imaging and content management preferred.

Skills:

  • Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Troubleshooting, CCNA, Active Directory, Intune, Scripting, Group Policy

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management

  • Linux experience

  • Ansible or Ansible Tower

  • MS 365

  • Various Scripting

Experience Level:

  • Intermediate-Expert Level

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $92000.00/yr.
