The Allen Company, Inc., Winchester, KY. Daily transportation will be provided from a central location to and from worksites in the following counties: Boyle, Casey, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jackson, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Owsley, Woodford. 20 Construction Laborer positions available. Temporary, full time position from 04/01/2025 through 11/28/2025, 7:00 AM -5:00 PM, 45 hrs/week, Additional overtime varies, Monday-Friday, Saturdays as needed, end times may vary, schedule varies. Workers will be paid Weekly at $21.39-$24.00/hr, $32.09-$36.00/hr OT, Raise/bonus at employer's discretion. Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on heavy highway construction projects, prepare surfaces for paving, sidewalks and curbs, utility installation and grading, repair and maintain municipal roadways, patch broken or eroded pavement and highway markers, erosion control with silt fences, operate jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement, shovel/clean around pavers, utility equipment, concrete machines and grading equipment, dig ditches or trenches up to 15' wide and up to 20' deep, backfill excavations, compact and level dirt using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers and rakes, load/unload materials, machinery and tools, perform cleanup/landscaping duties such as mowing, weed eating and cleaning. Pre-employment drug testing required;Drug testing during employment for cause;Post-Accident Drug Testing;Random drug testing during employment. Pre-hire background check required. All drug testing is performed without regard to an employee’s citizenship or immigration status, and all testing is paid for by the company. All background checks are performed equally as to U.S. workers and H-2B workers, and all fees are paid for by the company. Able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and perform strenuous labor. No experience required, will train. Employer may make payroll deductions at employee's request. Employer facilitates voluntary housing arrangements along with corresponding payments, $150.00/month per person, utilities included. Rent is paid monthly to property manager in cash and tenant receives a receipt. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for initial transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of employment for those traveling from such a distance they are not reasonably able to return to their residence each day. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. H2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
