We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced Commercial Framing Superintendent to oversee and manage framing operations for commercial construction projects. This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class, nor does it necessarily list all duties that are assigned.Project Supervision:Lead and manage framing teams on multiple commercial construction projects.Ensure all framing work adheres to project plans, specifications, and industry standards.Monitor and maintain a safe and productive work environment.Scheduling and Coordination:Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the project manager.Coordinate framing activities with other trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts to keep projects on track.Quality Assurance:Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.Conduct regular inspections and address any issues or deficiencies promptly.Implement best practices to enhance framing quality and efficiency.Resource Management:Manage labor, equipment, and material resources efficiently.Procure materials and equipment as needed, optimizing costs and delivery times.Oversee inventory management and control.Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including the project manager, subcontractors, and clients.Report project progress, challenges, and solutions regularly.Safety Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.Promote a culture of safety among framing teams and subcontractors.Investigate and report safety incidents, taking corrective actions, as necessary.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Framing Superintendent in commercial construction projects.In-depth knowledge of framing techniques, materials, and industry best practices.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Effective communication and people skills.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.OSHA certification (preferred).Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field (preferred).Other Requirements:Must be able to pass background check to drive company vehicle.Travel required.Accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.Work primarily outdoors, occasionally indoors, in all types of weather conditions/environments.Understanding of how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.Be able to operate small equipment such as scissor lift, man lift, skid steer, mini excavator, power tools, laser, etc.Challenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.Have small hand tools as required.Continue your own industry education and knowledge.Code invoices and receiptsUse accounting softwareRisk managementUse estimating softwareFinancial reportsJob site meetingsCompetitive Salary and Benefit Package for Proven LeadersJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Health, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid time offLife and DisabilitySimple IRA with employer matchPerformance BonusesCell phone allowanceVehicle allowanceMileage reimbursementSchedule:Monday - Friday in office8-hour shiftDay shiftEvenings and Weekends as neededWork Location: This role is an in-person office position and offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with an enthusiastic team, interact with clients and colleagues face-to-face, and contribute to our vibrant office culture.License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Ability to Commute:Lexington, KYWillingness to travel:50% (Required)
