Overview:

The Billing Analyst will review all specially billed accounts and drive process enhancements to generate efficiencies within the team. This position will be responsible for working directly with internal team members and customers to obtain order to cash requirements and develop automated processes to meet those requirements. Additionally this position will be responsible for understanding ERP system processes and troubleshoot with the Business System Analyst on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Works directly with customers to determine the most efficient method of preparation and sending specialized billing files.

  • Able to use Oracle software, RAS Software, Access databases, and Excel.

  • A strong understanding of Excel functions and formulas is required.

  • Development experience using Microsoft Access and Visual Basic are required.

  • Collaborates with the Business and customers to design, create, and implement databases, macros, and reports to assist with efficiency needs and standardization requirements of the billing department.

  • Responsibilities include the automation of data retrieval and manipulation and invoice generation, using MS Excel and VBA.

  • Develop and maintain relevant documentation for new Standard Operating Procedures and new database environments.

  • Analyze existing database environments for enhancement.

  • Collaborate with Senior Management, as requested, to design specific matrixes, KPIs, and reporting tools to gauge departmental and individual productivity.

  • Assists with training and developing new and existing team members and serves as a mentor to others within the team.

  • Ensures team members have appropriate resources to perform job functions and makes recommendations to the Billing Manager if deficiencies are noted.

  • Assists with cross-training team members to cover the scope of the Business’ work in any individual’s absence; Perform other duties as required or assigned.

  • Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must have demonstrated ability for problem-solving.

  • Logically decipher a complicated process and break that process into specific components to achieve desired result.

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Effectively communicate with all levels of management within the organization.

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Access and VBA development.

  • Knowledge of Oracle, RAS and OLAP tools (Desired); Flexible and able to multi-task.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects with deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networking and functionality.

  • High level of organizational skills, integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Strong basic mathematical skills; Strong time management and prioritization skills.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor or Associate's degree in related field preferred.

  • 2-4 years experience in Information Systems

  • 2-4 years experience in MS Access and VBA development.
