Horton Automatics - a division of Overhead Door Corp. Product Marketing Manager - 3310 in Lewisville, Texas

Position Function:

Accountable for the strategy and product lifecycle for the high-performance door business under the Overhead Door and Wayne Dalton brand names. Lead a cross-functional Product Business Team that owns the action plan to deliver increased sales and margins to the business.Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • 5 years of product marketing experience; should include knowledge of manufacturing environment and sales organizations/ channels, preferably in consumer durable or packaged goods
  • Business development and product marketing background, with experience developing product plans and strategy work
  • Knowledge of processes related to brand marketing, market research, sales training, and field communications
  • Computer literate in MS Office products
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills - for both internal groups as well as clients and trade groups/ seminars
  • Good problem-solving skills, Six Sigma training a plus
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Action and results oriented

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering. MBA a plus

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Moderate travel - 20-30%

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the financial PandL for High Speed Doors including monitoring key performance metrics
  • Manage existing high-performance door product lines and 5-year roadmap
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive analysis and macro-industry trends
  • Determine the new product development roadmap as well as the customer requirements, launch commercialization and financial returns.
  • Explore and develop new opportunities - through products, branding, channels, processes, technologies, etc. Link to existing product strategies and overall strategic plan.
