Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for updating and integrating over 4,000 parts into our current PLM system. You will reverse engineer each part as necessary to ensure accurate placement in the PLM system, and fully quantify all attribute data including weight, measurements, material, and quantity. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in door and build you Mechanical Engineering experience for future opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Update and integrate over 4,000 parts into the PLM system.

• Reverse engineer each part as needed to ensure accurate placement in the PLM system.

• Fully quantify all attribute data including weight, measurements, material, and quantity.

• Create and manage specification documents, bills of material, and parts management.

• Design and develop products using mechanical engineering principles.

• Take ownership of the assigned parts, initially responsible for 700-800 parts.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical engineering knowledge, particularly in product design.

• Experience with reverse engineering.

• Proficiency in Solidworks.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PLM systems.

• Ability to manage specification documents and bills of material.

Work Environment

The role will be based in an office setting at our corporate site. This position provides the opportunity to advance your knowledge in different products while working in a professional corporate environment.
