What You Will Do :

The Operations Manager (Great Start) holds responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of a project(s) and the management of the Great Start project Supervisor and Leads inclusive of onsite Team Members (when applicable), primarily focused on our in-house client specific training program. An Operations Manager (Great Start) is an extension of a client’s business office staff. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, meeting and / or exceeding the Operational goals of our clients and Company. This may include overlapping related business activities with pre-admissions, pre-registration, admission, registration, billing, and collection. The Operations Manager (Great Start) will and may work closely with Managing Consultants, and various department Senior Leadership to apply new and emerging approaches to our clients’ business processes. This position will follow and ensure that client policies and procedures are followed and will also perform any and all job-related duties as assigned. This position will maintain client relationships at the servicing level and will monitor compliance with State and Federal laws and guidelines. The Operations Manager (Great Start) will perform any and all job-related duties as assigned.

  • Ensuring compliant and timely billing of hospital claims

  • Leverage appropriate accounts receivable management analysis

  • Lead a denial management as needed

  • Employ appropriate and timely cash posting and management procedures

  • Ensure all functions are compliant with federal, state, local and client procedures and laws

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed department goals.

  • New project implementation.

  • Special client projects.

  • Fill-in for Project Supervisors.

  • Monitor productivity, legal compliance including compliance with client policies & procedures.

  • Subject Matter Expert and remains current in all areas of designated project/client, including client host systems and imaging systems, internal host system – METRIX & internal vendor systems

  • Coordinate and conduct interviewing of potential new hires and terminate as applicable

  • Verify and monitor time off requests.

  • Ensure employee compliance with Guidehouse policies and procedures.

  • Compile and forward employee time sheets to payroll for processing.

  • Provide reports and statistical information for management and clients.

  • Client services liaison.

  • Monitor client revenue reports.

  • Post payments, load business and transaction files as required.

  • Process month-end procedures for Guidehouse directory.

  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.

  • Ensure Team Member and project compliance with HIPAA standards.

  • Conduct disciplinary counseling including performance improvement plans as required.

  • Complete annual evaluation of staff.

  • Possible travel

Client Responsibility:

  • Ensure compliance with all client policies and procedures.

  • Place and manage on-site employees as contract requires.

  • Provide reports and statistics.

  • Process write-offs, adjustments and cancellations.

  • Ensures that communication with clients is timely, thorough and accurate, and is adequate to enable the client with the ability to resolve issues identified in the course of audits.

  • Ensures that all services are provided within the constraints of applicable laws.

  • Ensures that all services are provided in a comprehensive manner that maximizes the benefits derived by the client.

  • Ensures that all services are provided within the framework of the governing contract.

  • Ensures that all services are provided in such a manner as to protect the revenue stream of the client.

  • Responsible for client reporting as it relates to training initiatives

  • Responsible for development of Performance Indicators, SOP’s and communication with client regarding Performance Indicators.

  • Responsible for a continual assessment of client needs and potential solutions available through Guidehouse or Guidehouse partner.

  • Responsible for internal quality and performance monitoring to ensure that client expectations are being achieved by Great Start department

What You Will Need :

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree.

  • Relevant experience coming from third party Revenue Cycle Management

  • Previous staff supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of governmental, managed care reimbursement, hospital billing and cash management & balancing procedures.
