Robert Half is partnering with a client in the Manufacturing industry. This role will be on site 100% working alongside the Purchasing, Sales, and Project Management departments. Responsibilities:

• Analyze product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes to determine the cost of materials, labor, and overhead.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to gather relevant data and information for cost estimation.

• Use cost estimation software and tools to develop accurate and reliable cost estimates.

• Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate prices to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.

• Prepare cost breakdowns and reports for management review and decision-making.

• Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the product lifecycle to account for changes in materials, labor rates, and other factors.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement to optimize manufacturing efficiency and profitability.

• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements that may impact cost estimation processes.

• Assist in the development of budget proposals and pricing strategies for new products and projects.

• Support other departments as needed with cost-related inquiries and analysis.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting, or a related field OR 1+ year in similar role

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience in cost estimation or related field is a plus, but not required for entry-level candidates.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in cost estimation.
