CENTRAL MONTANA MEDICAL CENTER Certified Athletic Trainer in LEWISTOWN, Montana
Part time position 25 hours per week
WAGE: DOE
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide athletic trainer coverage for high school athletic programs. Athletic trainer will also provide assistance in orthopedic office when not onsite at the high school.
DUTIES:
Establish and effective athletic training program for area high school athletics
Provide 1st aid and injury assessment/treatment for high school athletes and be responsible for appropriate physician referral
Provide coverage at home events, practices, and high school training room during school year
Supervise the clearance of injured athletes prior to and during sports seasons
Maintain an effective and efficient athletic training room at the high school
Maintain communication with parents on care and treatment of their student athlete
Maintain daily treatment log
Assist in selection and fitting of protective equipment including special taping, pads or braces
Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
Maintain information, reference materials, and appropriate policies and procedures issued by CMMC.
Greet patient and obtain patient information for chart
Take patient to room and obtain current reason for visit. Height, weight, blood pressure etc.
Inventory soft good, splint and supplies
Assist with casting, suture & staple removal and change dressings
Complete other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field
Current certification by the National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification
Montana licensure or eligibility for licensure as an athletic trainer
