Kanaan Communications, LLC Construction Inspector Telecom in Lewiston, Michigan
We are currently seeking Telecommunications Construction Inspectors to work in Lewiston MI and surrounding areas. Preferred candidate for the Construction Inspector will work in the field completing tasks for telecommunication construction projects. The Telecommunications Construction Inspector's duties may include pre-job and post-job quality control, surveying of jobs, call before you dig, and the cataloging of site information. The duties of the Construction Inspector are directed by the Construction Supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Interact with, subcontractors, local municipalities and homeowners
Perform job tasks in a safe manner in accordance with company policy
Prepare and distribute pre and post construction site documentation
Survey sites and provide information to clearance systems and supervisors
Assist in the preparation of red line prints and as-builds
Monitor and track completion of job sites
Work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Required:
1 year experience in telcom and/or locate experience
Experience reading construction drawings and prints and verify production as reported
Must be reliable and able to work independently
Must possess a valid driver's license w/a clean driving record
Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal)
Preferred:
1- 3 years telecommunications/utilities construction experience
Experience with Excel, Google Docs, and Gmail is a plus
Physical Requirements:Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions. The candidate must possess the ability to lift and manipulate materials and equipment up to 100 pounds. Be able to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:Candidates offered employment are required to submit to a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screening. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
