Robert Half has partnered with Heathcare organization offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will be instrumental in ensuring that our financial statements adhere to regulatory and accounting guidelines. They will work closely with the Controller, focusing on identifying and rectifying discrepancies while helping to establish effective control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Support and promote the mission and values of our organization.

• Ensure accounting and financial processes meet established standards, promoting accurate financial reporting and effective control.

• Assist in most aspects of the accounting management process including month-end and year-end close, journal entry preparation and review, balance sheet reconciliation, audit, and 990 preparations.

• Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.

• Assist in the preparation of operating budgets/forecasts and capital budgets.

• Help in the development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.

• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.

• Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.

• Maintain all required competencies and ensure compliance courses are completed on time.

• Perform other duties consistent with this role.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Auditing and Budget Processes.

• Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Year End Closings, Month End Close, and Journal Entries.

• Experience with Budgeting.

• Knowledge of US GAAP.

Requirements • Must possess knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Prior experience in Auditing is necessary

• Proficiency in Budget Processes is needed

• Familiarity with Financial Reporting is essential

• Must have prior experience in Year End Closings

• Experience in Month End Close is required

• Knowledge of Journal Entries is necessary

• Must have prior experience in Budgeting

• Familiarity with US GAAP is essential

• Must be able to work in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry

• Prior experience in the Assistant Controller job function is required.
