The Member Engagement Specialist provides member outreach to remove barriers, assist and support education about benefits, preventative health screenings, and community resources as part of specific initiatives or care management programs.
Member Engagement Specialists encourages engagement in health-related activities and programs and provide appropriate referrals to case management and/or other internal or external services and resources. Provide excellent and caring services to all internal and external customers. All in service of making our members health journey easier.

What You Bring to Cambia:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 1 year customer service such as call center, insurance, hospital or provider medical office, Prior health plan Customer Service or equivalent combination or education with medical Preferred
- CNA CMA certification preferred, but not required
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong communication skills, with ability to interact with diverse individuals on sensitive topics, and provide excellent customer service through courteous telephone etiquette, listening, and empathy.
- General organization, data entry, and administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet search, and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve operational standards, with creative problem-solving skills and ability to research and refer to others as needed.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with disease and lifestyle topics, with ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn, retain, and interpret new information.
- Ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment in a complex and rapidly changing environment, with ability to work under stress and pressure and respond to inquiries with tact and diplomacy.
- Work in a team environment, demonstrating initiative in researching and resolving issues along with prioritizing work to meet deadlines and achieve operational standards.
- Exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters, with ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
What You Will Do at Cambia:
Outreach and Engagement: Initiates outbound calls or emails to members for Care Management Programs, utilizing motivational interviewing to encourage engagement in health-related activities.
Education and Support: Educates members on benefits, tools, and resources to support preventive screenings, discharge and treatment plans, and adherence to nationally recognized guidelines.
Care Coordination: Collaborates with Care Managers to identify member needs, referring to licensed clinical staff and resources as necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
Platform Management: Utilizes care management platforms to record and track member interactions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Works with Care Managers and licensed clinical staff to ensure seamless care coordination and support for members.

The starting hourly wage for the Member Engagement Specialist role is \$23.00-\$28.00/hour, depending on candidate\'s geographic location, certification and experience. Full pay range for the Member Engagement Specialist role is \$19.00-\$34.40 an hour.
The annual incentive payment target for this position is 5%.
