ManpowerGroup Materials Manager in Lesage, West Virginia

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Materials Manager to join their team. As a Materials Manager, you will be part of the operations team supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of buyers in purchasing materials, components, and supplies to support manufacturing operations.

  • Oversee inventory management, including cycle counting and setting inventory targets to achieve year-end inventory reduction goals.

  • Develop and implement purchasing instructions, policies, and procedures.

  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.

  • Supervise and develop materials department staff while ensuring compliance with corporate quality principles.

What's Needed?

  • A degree in business, Chemistry, or Supply Chain.

  • Management experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.

  • Proven abilities to successfully drive continuous improvement and manage multiple priorities.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills.
