Cedar Lane Senior Living Community Marketing and Communications Coordinator in Leonardtown, Maryland

[Position Summary:

[The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for strategizing, planning and implementing Cedar Lane Senior Living Communitys public relations and marketing campaigns, internal and external communications, and initiatives to increase public awareness of and support for the communitys mission, vision and goals. The successful candidate will be energetic, innovative and well versed in communication strategies such as public presentations, copywriting, advertising, social media and print production. The candidate must possess excellent creative and design skills, with experience in proposal and presentation design, brochure design and email marketing. Looking for an individual able to juggle multiple projects at once.

  • Develop and maintain organization specific marketing plan while adhering to Federal Fair Housing guidelines.
  • Create, manage and implement marketing, public relations and advertising strategies
  • Direct efforts to increase positive media coverage of Cedar Lane Senior Living Community
  • Represent Cedar Lane Senior Living Community at networking events and manage logistics of PR events
  • Oversee the production of collateral materials, advertising, and promotional programs
  • Develop and oversee the production of written documents for resident use, such as the Resident Handbook
  • Manage and maintain website content, design, SEO development and analytics
  • Engage multiple social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn; assess the usefulness of these and additional platforms
  • Build relationships with local referral sources and potential residents and their families to achieve occupancy targets
  • Qualify, tour and recommend applicants for occupancy
  • Maintain Tenant application database and update Tenant Selection Plan per HUD Regulations
  • Compile, analyze and distribute marketing and occupancy reports

  • Minimum three years experience in public relations, marketing, or sales with demonstrated results
  • Experience in assisted housing for the elderly or a retirement community is desirable
  • Meticulous attention to details and accuracy
  • Superb writing and editing skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign, WordPress, Illustrator and Photoshop/Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and to manage a project from inception to completion
  • Creative, open-minded, and enthusiastic about creating new opportunities for marketing
  • Bachelors degree in marketing or communications preferred
