Cooper Standard Automotive Inc. Shipping & Receiving Associate (1st shift) - 20396545 in Leonard, Michigan

Position Summary:

Responsible for shipping/receiving assignments along with other responsibilities within Plant.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shipping: Daily preparation and staging of finished goods requirements, shipment preparation and completion of outbound shipping documentation in a timely manner. Ability to understand the part number and quantity required, supporting customer on time delivery expectations. Familiarity of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) communications process and the ability to submit Advance Shipping Notices' (ASN's) successfully for parts and containers, when required. The ability to professionally communicate with Logistic Carriers, providing shipping specifications information when requesting transportation. Ability to scan and print shipping labels as required, within SAP. Safely loading and securing material into trailers, following all safety standards. Understands and performs daily job duties supporting all out bound shipment.

Receiving: Validate material received, matching the carriers Bill of Lading (B/L) information to the suppliers packing slip information for accuracy. Ability to receipt inventory in the plants ERP system, SAP. Safely unloading shipments from trailers, following all safety standards. Familiarity of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) communications and ability to receive Advance Shipping Notices' (ASN's) successfully, when receiving returnable containers. Support "Dock Audit Process" for incoming shipments on a random basis. Inspect incoming shipments for damage and process carrier claims when applicable. Maintains hard copy of paperwork for all shipment in an organized manner.

Shipping/Receving Standards: Ability to navigate within SAP, the necessary shipping and receiving screens. Knowledge of scanning functionality and operational interface with SAP. Supports First In First Out (FIFO) rotation of all finish, raw and components stock. Drive and support the Plan For Every Part (PFEP), in the warehouse and throughout the plant. Maintains MHE (Material Handling Equipment) and dock doors, inside and outside the facility. A certified licensed lift truck driver.
