Position: IT Security Engineer

Location: Overland Park, KS - HYBRID IDEAL / REMOTE POSSIBILITY

Salary: up to $120K base annual salary + bonus + exceptional benefits

Are you a seasoned IT Security Engineer with a passion for all things security? In this role you will apply your knowledge and skills, while continuing to expand on your realm of experience. You will have the opportunity to advise, strategize, problem solve, implement and consult on an array of topics for an array of clients. You will continue to build your portfolio of IT Security Engineering experiences and not stay stagnant and have a variety of work. Job Overview: This senior-level position calls for an IT Security Engineer to handle a broad range of technical, security, and compliance matters. Your focus will be on safeguarding information system assets and networks, identifying and resolving vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents timely and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defining system access privileges, control structures, and resources protection.

• Reviewing vulnerabilities, recommending solutions, and ensuring their implementation and testing for compliance.

• Conducting periodic audits to determine security violations and inefficiencies.

• Maintaining security controls in line with NIST guidelines and other industry frameworks.

• Monitoring aiSIEM portals, resolving issues, and maintaining the portal alongside the platform team.

Requirements:

• An associate's degree or higher in Cybersecurity is preferred.

• A minimum of one year of experience in Information Technology or a related field.

• Proficient in using logic and reasoning to recognize IT system strengths and weaknesses.

• Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a focus on customer service.

• Demonstrated ability in threat hunting, event remediation, and security baselines and compliance requirements.

Requirements • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Cloud Technologies, with proven experience in managing and implementing these systems.

• Exhibit strong proficiency in Firewall Technologies, including the ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewall systems.

• Demonstrate expertise in Configuration Management, including the ability to ensure system security through the effective use of configuration settings.

• Have a solid background in Cyber Security, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential threats to IT systems. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
