Location:Kansas City Metro Area
Job Summary:As a Guest Services 1 Representative at Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission of building homes, communities, and hope through affordable housing solutions. You will represent our organization by; interacting with guests shopping, donors dropping off merchandise, and volunteers in our retail store.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in safety training programs, identify, and report any potential hazards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety culture.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale system, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments efficiently.
- Educate guests about Habitat for Humanity of Kansas Citys mission and programs, encourage donations and participation in volunteer opportunities.
- Create a positive guest experience and address guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory on the sales floor, ensure shelves are neat, clean, product priced, and well-maintained.
- Collaborate with volunteers to accomplish tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to guest, helping them find products, answer questions, and load products safely.
- Implement and maintain creative and visually appealing displays that highlight featured products and promotions.
- Ability to work in warehouse environment with limited climate controls.
- Process donations by cleaning, testing functionality, completing minor repairs and pricing.
