Commander, Navy Installations SUPERVISORY HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (FACILITIES MANAGER) in Lemoore, California
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (FACILITIES MANAGER) in Commander, Navy Installations of NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE. Responsibilities You will assign daily tasks to staff to ensure work is completed based on priorities and capabilities of the employees. You will conduct regular inspections and determine the necessary repairs or improvements needed and schedule or coordinate the corrective actions. You will analyze current and past housing program operations and maintenance expenditures to determine long term resource requirements. You will develop plans for the construction, renovation, or recapitalization of housing facilities to accommodate varying shape, room configuration, design, purpose, condition, and age. You will document requirements for improvements by analysis of utilization reports, assets, and facilities to accomplish housing activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing current and past housing operations and maintenance expenditures to determine future budgetary requirements; 2) Performing quality assurance inspections on housing facilities and/or projects to ensure contract specifications have been met; 3) Developing short and long range plans and procedures for the maintenance and repair of housing assets; 4) Providing the full range of supervisory services to subordinates (i.e. planning schedules, assigning work, recommending personnel actions, etc.). Additional Information (Continued): This position is subject to the possibility of working weekends and holidays, as well as may be recalled to duty and/or required to work as mission requires, including on an emergency basis. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work involves frequent on-site visits to project locations. This often requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, etc. Work within the office environment is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office. May require occasional travel.
