Position Summary:

Lead a team of Scientists to ensure delivery of MSAT commitments in support of Site Business Units and MSAT objectives. Focus will be on product Lifecycle Management projects, Advanced Technology & Digitalization projects, and lifecycle management of advanced analytics models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Prioritization & Collaboration: - Partnering with Technical Owners, Technical Launch Integrators, Business Unit leaders on project priorities.

  • Partnering with Business Unit leaders and support functions to shape advanced technology adoption and change management

  • New Technology Deployment: - Partnering with Global MSAT Innovation, MSAT LM DS platform and on site DOXs organization to streamline advanced technology and analytics deployment that adds value and addresses site business needs.

  • Technology Evaluation & Standardization: - Evaluate the use and applicability of advanced technologies and analytics to site manufacturing processes

  • Contribute to standardization initiatives for technology deployment.

  • Troubleshooting & Investigations: - Support complex failure investigations.

  • Personnel Management: - Handles all aspects of managing personnel. Provides coaching and development opportunities. Evaluates performance and provides feedback.

  • Team Motivation & Innovation: - Motivates and inspires team to drive performance through technical innovation and change

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:

  • MSc / PhD in a relevant field, such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree or equivalent, demonstrating a proven track record of success in leading projects and people.

  • Affinity with Technology and Digitalization.

  • Key Developmental Areas/Leadership Imperatives:

  • Connect: Partnering with TOs, TLIs, Business Unit Leaders, and global teams (LM DS platform / ITD).

  • Shape: Evaluation and implementation of new technologies across the Business Units at J&J IMSC Leiden. Contribute to the development of site and functional goals (site and MSAT cascade).

  • Grow: Motivation and inspiration of team members through technical innovation and change. Providing coaching and development opportunities for team members.

  • Communication & Leadership:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively conveying complex scientific & analytical information to diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels in the organization.

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire others, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and promoting a culture of scientific excellence and innovation.
