Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking to add maintenance personnel to our team. This role is heavily focused on the mechanical side of things, working primarily with conveyors and packaging equipment. Other equipment includes boilers, compressors, and ovens. There could be some work on refrigeration and outside utilities as well. The most common repairs involve replacing chains, bearings, and belts. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance on machinery, such as checking belts, chains, electrical cabinets, and greasing.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on machinery including checking belts, chains, electrical cabinets, and greasing.
Repair and replace chains, bearings, and belts.
Work with conveyors, packaging equipment, boilers, compressors, and ovens.
Handle refrigeration and outside utility maintenance when necessary.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Conduct welding and fabricating tasks.
Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on systems ranging from 120v to 480v.
Essential Skills
Experience with hydraulics.
Mechanical maintenance experience including understanding different chain and belt sizes, changing bearings, and VFD experience.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems from 120v to 480v.
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and understanding basic start/stop mechanisms.
Welding and fabricating experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Plumbing experience, including pipe threading and pulling wire.
Experience with refrigeration and outside utilities.
Boiler experience.

Work Environment
This role is within a duck processing and packaging facility, consisting of two buildings maintained at 70 degrees or less. The available shifts are 2nd (2pm-10pm) and 3rd (10pm-6am) . Overtime is expected, with current schedules including work every Saturday and a total of 50-60 hours per week. We plan to rotate weekends once the maintenance team is fully staffed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00
