NOW HIRING Fry Cook and Pizza Builder for local family-owned pizza restaurant. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking a wide variety of fried foods, including French fries, fried chicken, fish and chips, and other items and build, cook and serve pizzas. Also responsible for operating and maintaining deep fryers and other kitchen equipment. In addition to cooking, the kitchen staff will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, as well as adhering to food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods, such as French fries, fried chicken, fish and chips, and other items.
• Operating and maintaining deep fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Preparing and measuring ingredients for fried foods.
• Building, cooking, and serving pizzas.
• Ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked with ingredients and supplies.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including cleaning equipment and washing dishes.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and ensuring that all food is cooked and stored properly.
• Assisting other kitchen staff members as needed.
• Following recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality of food.
• Helping with food preparation and presentation.
• Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

• Must be able to read, write and possess good communication skills in English.
• Must practice safe work habits and be in contact with chemicals and have knowledge of chemicals.
• Must meet any state, county or municipal regulations pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.
• State issued food handlers card is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have some basic math skills including understanding of units of measure.
• Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time without breaks
• Must be able to reach heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 3 feet
• Must have high level of mobility/flexibility
• Must be able to fit through openings 30" wide
• Must be able to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress
• Bending, reaching, walking, required.
• Must be able to communicate with customers
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry trays of food products weighing about 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs overhead
• Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time, bend, kneel.
• Must be able to work in extreme heat
• MUST have a valid ID
