We are hiring a Controller to join our winning team!

Reporting to the Controller, Transmission & Distribution Infrastructure Strategic Business Unit (T&D SBU), this senior-level Controllership position at Hubbell is responsible for managing the Connectors Business Unit controllership and financial analysis activities. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, the role involves managing functional areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with policies, internal controls, and US GAAP, as well as partnering with the business to drive results. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and management skills, as well as the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work well under tight time constraints.

A Day In The Life

Duties and Responsibilities

· Partner with VP/GM to drive business unit performance from top-line sales through operating profit.

· Manage monthly closing responsibilities for Connectors Business Unit, analyze and communicate financial results.

· Ensure compliance with internal controls and Corporate policy.

· Work with internal and external auditors as required. Perform routine self-testing.

· Execute and develop annual plan, forecasts and weekly performance updates.

· Oversee cycle counts and annual physical inventory.

· Evaluate capital investments, monitor spend and ensure timely closures.

· Manage and develop team of two finance professionals.

· Collaborate with colleagues to drive process improvements and consistency across the T&D SBU.

· Special projects as assigned.

· Travel 10-20%.

Skills and Experience

· 10+ years of experience managing accounting-related activities in a multi-million dollar organization, preferably manufacturing.

· Sarbanes-Oxley control and compliance.

· Able to work within the various departments of the organization and communicate effectively up the chain of command.

· Proven leadership and management skills.

· Proficient in verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

· Exhibit a confident leadership presence and can effectively modify presentation styles to all levels within an organization.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.

· Experience with SAP, OneStream and Microsoft Office preferred.

· Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

· Masters in Accounting or MBA preferred.
