Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead our new product development projects. This role is crucial in ensuring cross-departmental communication, effective timeline management, and resource prioritization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of the manufacturing process, and a passion for driving innovation.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
Support the development of new products by coordinating project activities and ensuring alignment with business goals
- Timeline Management:
Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring schedule adjustments are communicated, tasks are completed, and milestones are met
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Facilitate communication between engineering, production, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Resource Prioritization:
Collaborate with departmental managers to assess and allocate resources effectively, balancing project needs with team capacity and project priority
- Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines
- Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare regular updates for stakeholders, documenting progress, challenges, and solutions
- Continuous Improvement:
Implement best practices in project management, contributing to process enhancements and efficiency improvements
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
Skilled in MS Office
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Critical Thinker
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification preferred
3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in new product development
Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Proficiency in project management tools and software
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to traverse the production facility.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times.
