Description We are looking for a dedicated Cost Accountant to join our team in Lebanon, Ohio, United States. This role will involve a range of responsibilities, including the execution of advanced cost accounting analyses, budget report preparation, and the comparison of estimated costs to actual costs.

Responsibilities:

• Execute advanced cost accounting analyses to make comparisons between estimated costs and actual costs.

• Compile cost information and maintain an organized database concerning expenses.

• Develop and implement effective systems and procedures for accumulation systems and cost accounting functions.

• Calculate fixed costs, such as salaries, rent, and insurance.

• Carry out predictions, planning, and recording of variable costs like purchases of raw material, labor, and operation costs.

• Conduct reviews and analyses of actual costs to pinpoint inaccuracies.

• Generate necessary departmental and company-wide budgeting reports.

• Examine, analyze, and report actual profit margins.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closings.

• Determine and recommend cost-effective solutions.

• Provide product sample costs for Marketing and General Accounting.

• Carry out other related duties as assigned. Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as accounting software.

• Thorough understanding of accounting procedures.

• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
