Lab Technicians are responsible for supporting production by analyzing a variety of samples using different test methods. Daily tasks of a Lab Technician include the receipt of samples, determining methods by reviewing procedures and specifications, testing samples, observing for abnormal reactions, documenting, reviewing, and reporting of results, and cleaning and stocking their work area. Technicians are also responsible for maintaining and calibrating their equipment as well as routine quality control checks. $20.54/hour PTO From Day 1 Double Time on Sundays Monday - Friday, every other weekend 7:00 am - 3:00 pm What you need to join our team: Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs. No experience required; in house training provided Follows work instructions set forth by Test Procedures (TPs), Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS). Preparation and testing of chemical, physical, and/or microbiogical samples. Equipment operation, calibration, and minor maintenance. Reagent (microbiological and chemical) preparation. Record data in log books and computer spreadsheets. Interpretation of data. Reporting of results. General lab cleanup and organization; restock supplies. Maintains a clean work place that is free of safety hazards. Cleans work stations and equipment as outlined in MSS. Uses proper personal protective equipment at all times. Understands and obeys all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs). Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, monterey jack, asiago, fontina, parmesan and romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.
