Job Title: HVAC II Electronics Technician
Job Description
Perform HVAC Electrical Maintenance II at Fort Sill. This role is crucial in maintaining, repairing, and installing various types of electronic equipment and related devices for HVAC operations.
Responsibilities
Assist HVAC Technicians in troubleshooting comfort, energy, indoor air quality, safety, and scheduling concerns related to HVAC systems and controls.
Provide systems operations data, trend logging reports, and manage access and privileges for technicians based on their job responsibilities.
Maintain, repair, and install various types of electronic equipment for HVAC operations.
Monitor building energy management controls through various IT networks.
Change and/or adjust set points on various controls on HVAC equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, or replace and install controls such as sensors, relays, actuators, electrical components, and wiring associated with HVAC systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, or replace and install Variable Frequency Drives and motors.
Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer manuals or similar documents.
Determine equipment malfunctions and apply skill in restoring equipment operations.
Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments.
Receive technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician, with work reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
May provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
Perform work in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) guidelines.
Essential Skills
EPA Universal Certification
8+ years of HVAC experience or a combination of experience and formal vocational training
Knowledge of HVAC systems integrated with building controls
Ability to apply knowledge of multiple communications protocols including DMS, BacNet, Lon Works, Siemens, and Tridium
Understanding of AC/DC electrical systems related to controls
Computer literacy with working knowledge of programming
Ability to read and understand control drawings, electronic schematics, electrical diagrams, and construction drawings
In-depth knowledge of electronic, electrical, mechanical systems, and digital or pneumatic controls
Strong oral and written communication skills
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s)
Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Journeyman or ability to retrieve Journeyman certification preferred
Service and repair experience on HVAC units

Work Environment

This is a Permanent position based out of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63960.00 - $76440.00/yr.
$6.00an hour for health and welfare
Medical, dental, vision, and other coverage: employer contribution offered to cover employee-only tier. 11 paid holidays, 10 days vacation, 7 days sick leave
