Do you have a passion for making a real impact in child welfare? NorthCare, in collaboration with Oklahomas Office of Family Representation (OFR), is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our team! This role is part of an interdisciplinary legal defense team providing compassionate, strengths-based support to indigent parents, legal guardians, and Indian custodians involved in the juvenile deprived court system.
As a Social Worker with NorthCare, you will be pivotal in empowering families, supporting interdisciplinary teams, and advocating for client success. This is not a typical social work role; youll be part of an impactful initiative that protects rights, fosters resilience, and aids families in navigating the complexities of child welfare and court processes.
This positionserve families in the following counties::Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Kiowa, Jackson, Tillman, Greer, Harmon. Incumbent must live within area and willing to travel to these counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strengths-based, culturally sensitive services tailored to each family.
- Meet regularly with clients to discuss progress, goals, and service planning.
- Educate clients about the child welfare system and provide ongoing support through court processes.
- Partner with interdisciplinary team attorneys to develop advocacy strategies based on client needs.
- Facilitate connections to community resources and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
