Director, X3 Sales

Job Description:

The Director of Field-Based Sales is responsible for generating monthly or annual revenue through Sage’s Partner Ecosystem of Sage X3 business. This role includes managing a sales team to work with partners to execute marketing, generate and close opportunities, maximize results, and ensure customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of sales management accomplishments building a SaaS business, selling B2B Enterprise and Midmarket solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background working with partners to sell software with strong experience and knowledge of the manufacturing or supply chain industry, as well as enterprise and mid-market sales. Excellent leadership skills and prior experience managing a high-performing sales team are essential. The candidate must be an effective strategist and communicator, capable of mentoring and monitoring a sales management team to drive product sales. They should be comfortable operating in an environment where financial targets are transparent, highly measurable, and where personal accountability for targets is expected.

Furthermore, the candidate must be able to manage multiple ongoing work streams and support a broad spectrum of industries and business models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with partners to deliver Sage business outcomes

• Develop and execute on partner sales strategy for manufacturing and distribution in order to increase revenue

• Evolve the partner sales strategy based on Sage overall strategic objectives, business model changes, pricing strategy and product/service offering changes

• Assess go-to-market strategy and works with management team to make recommendations for changes

• Manage a team responsible for generating revenue with clients through partners sales, maintaining an active pipeline, calling on partners and prospects and working through the entire sales cycle

• Leader adept at adopting technology to drive business outcomes

• Work cross-functionally to coordinate efforts to increase revenue growth and partner/customer loyalty

• Maintain a detailed understanding of product updates and works with product marketing to articulate improvements related to customer satisfaction and renewal

• Track and analyze sales activities, customer data and customers' status. Develops mutual actions plans

• Coach and develop team members

• May represent Sage at conferences, partner and customer events, as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

• 8+ years of sales experience

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent experience in production, logistics, supply chain management.

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise and mid-market sales

• 5+ years of partner sales management experience

• 5+ years software selling experience
