In this role, you will be responsible for responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the network and systems infrastructure across our company. This role requires a deep understanding of network and systems engineering and administration. The position also works with cross-functional teams ensure high system availability along with seamless integration and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure.

In this position you will:

  • Oversee the operation and monitoring of IT systems and networks, including system administration and local backup solutions, ensuring high availability and resiliency.

  • Manage VMware and cloud environments, creating redundant failovers and high availability for IT solutions whenever possible.

  • Automate tasks where appropriate, using scripting and IaC tools to manage assets, managing and resolving any system drift.

  • Develop, enhance, and extend monitoring platforms to enable proactive troubleshooting and resolution

  • Perform daily monitoring of systems and system integration, analyzing and solving indicated and reported issues.

  • Execute security vulnerability remediation, monitor compliance, and document procedures.

  • Collaborate closely with divisional security and network teams to implement best practices, knowledge sharing, and governance.

  • Maintain detailed blueprints that outline the network’s architecture and layout, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and resiliency.

  • Support and architect disaster recovery plans, participating in bi-annual disaster recovery testing.

  • Manage related supplier and vendor relationships including implementing support programs where appropriate and monitoring SLAs.

  • Maintain system updates and patches of operating systems, appliances, and network equipment.

  • Provide critical off-hours support for system down or issues related to manufacturing stoppages.

    Required Skills and Experience:

  • College degree or university in computer science or relevant work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise organization supporting network and system administration. Experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment preferred.

  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Entra AD.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016 and beyond.

  • Deep networking knowledge and proficient in Cisco and Meraki devices and networks.

  • Deep understanding of both Linux and Windows Operating systems

  • Experience with cloud computing practices and environments, including utilization of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Experience with scripting including but not limited to PowerShell, Terraform, Bash, Azure CLI, Cisco IOS.

  • Familiarity with source control systems for storing system state and configurations.

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, and MS Exchange.

  • VMware and Veeam backup system knowledge and experience.

  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework, focusing on service requests, incidents, and problem management.

  • Willingness to travel within the NA region up to 30% of the time.

  • Good analysis skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Eager to assist where necessary to meet deliverables and team needs.
