About the role

The Innovation Manager will lead and manage the development and execution of innovative strategies and initiatives for new products and processes within the CPG sector. This role involves collaborating across departments to identify opportunities, develop concepts, and drive projects from ideation to market launch.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovation strategies aligned with the companys goals and market trends.

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscape.

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the innovation process, including research and development, marketing, and supply chain.

  • Oversee the project lifecycle from concept development to product launch, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and industry experts to gather insights and stimulate creativity

  • Manage the development of prototypes, oversee testing and validation, and refine concepts based on feedback.

  • Analyze consumer data, market trends, and competitive activity to inform innovation strategies.

  • Communicate innovation strategies, project progress, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Track and evaluate the performance of new products and processes post-launch

  • Gather feedback and measure success against predefined metrics and KPIs.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in innovation management, product development, or a related role within the CPG industry.

  • Proven track record of successful product launches and project management.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in market research and data analysis.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Creative problem-solving and critical thinking.
