Publicis Groupe Creative Director – Global Brand (a) 100% in Lausanne, Switzerland

Company description

We are seeking an experienced Creative Director to lead our creative team in the development of global brand campaigns for a key Publicis Groupe client in a restricted category. This role demands a leader who excels in visual storytelling and design, has extensive experience in restricted categories, and can navigate the nuances of developing cohesive, impactful creative that will be leveraged across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, and an exceptional eye for design and craft to ensure creative excellence on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Creative Vision & Leadership

  • Drive the creative ideation for global brand campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market-specific needs.

  • Build out and dead the creative team in developing visually compelling, and strategically sound creative concepts that will be leveraged throughout digital, print, social, experiential, and traditional channels.

  • Champion art direction as a discipline, ensuring consistency and excellence across all visual assets and brand touchpoints.

  • Global Brand Campaign Development

  • Spearhead the creation and execution of campaigns that resonate across diverse cultural contexts while maintaining global brand cohesion.

  • Oversee photoshoots as part of campaign development, working with production teams and photographers to ensure creative vision comes to life.

  • Collaborate with market teams to gain inputs that will ensure breath of campaign meets local needs.

  • Restricted Category Expertise

  • Bring a deep understanding of compliance requirements and creative opportunities within regulated industries.

  • Guide the team in delivering work that is both compliant and compelling, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards without sacrificing creativity.

  • Team Leadership & Development

  • Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and professional development opportunities for team members.

  • Client and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships with senior clients; serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients and internal stakeholders, presenting and defending creative concepts with clarity and confidence.

  • Work closely with strategy, account management, production, and other departments to ensure seamless execution and alignment with campaign objectives.

  • Travel to oversee shoots, events and deliver presentations to srnior clients.

  • Industry Trends & Innovation

  • Stay ahead of global creative trends, technologies, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the table.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation within the framework of restricted categories and global branding.

Qualifications

  • Education : Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, or a related field.

  • Experience :

  • 10+ years in creative roles, with at least 5 years leading creative teams.

  • Proven success in developing and executing global brand campaigns with a strong portfolio showcasing art direction expertise.

  • Skills :

  • Mastery of design and visualization tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Expertise in branding, typography, color theory, and crafting compelling visual narratives.

  • Ability to align creative vision with business goals.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication, and ability to build strong relationships with clients.

  • Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in restricted categories, with understanding of regulatory considerations.
