The Senior Systems Engineer shall be responsible for participating in Information Assurance (IA) system, hardware, and software design activities with focus on leading evaluation of requirements generation, allocation and tracking throughout the development cycle to ensure supportability for security certification. The Senior Systems Engineer shall also be responsible for performing implementation and technology studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience working with Azure Active Directory

  • Experience working with GPO/Admin Design,Cloud Computing (Azure), Active Role Server, and Active Directory.

  • Provide identification and fixing of problems within existing systems, design, and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.

  • Participates in analysis, design, and new construction of next generation IT systems.

  • Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the development team.

  • Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.

  • Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation and in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue.

  • Perform systems engineering activities and develop and deliver work products of either the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.

  • Create, implement, integrate, and review applications.

  • Develop scripts and code to automate IT processes.

  • Create application packages for remote deployment of application packages.

  • Create and maintain process, baseline, and technical documentation for new and existing systems.

  • Ensure security compliance and auditing.

  • Work with ticketing system to optimize and automate workflow.

  • Provide Tier 3 support in an enterprise level, globally distributed environment.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience as a system engineer on virtual desktop solutions

  • Extensive knowledge of scripting languages such PowerShell, Bash, Python

  • Experience displaying skill areas including operating systems (Windows, UNIX, LINUX), Virtual Desktops (Citrix, VMWare), User Management and Permissions, (Active Directory, Centrify)

  • Knowledge of full lifecycle management techniques testing, integration, change management, security and authentication services

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with ITIL, SEI/CMM is desirable

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Must have one of the following DoD approved certifications to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DoD 8570) requirement for this position:   Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED.​

  • Required Education & Experience : High School/GED (+12) years of relevant experience. AD (+10) years of relevant experience. BA/BD (+6) years of relevant experience. Master's degree (+4) years of relevant experience, or PHD (+2) years of relevant experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $156,900 - $212,275. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
