Army National Guard Units MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Latham, New York

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number T5114000 and is part of the MEDICAL COMMAND, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Responsibilities As a Management Analyst, GS-0343-09, you will develop, analyze, evaluate, advise on, and/or improve the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management. Must have experience as a management analyst in an analysis role and perform a variety of studies/assignments. Must have experience conducting project studies to ascertain the need for changes in existing management studies or methods of operation such as work processes, functional responsibility, operating techniques, organizational structure and other factors affecting the efficient and economical use of available resources. Must have knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques to conduct analysis and studies; knowledge of administrative regulations and operating procedures; and knowledge of management principles and organizational theory, techniques, procedures, and regulations. Education If you are using Education to qualify for this position, master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree You must provide a copy of OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. Additional Information If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (Register | Selective Service System : Selective Service System (sss.gov)). Superior Qualifications may be considered for this position. TAG is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to newly appointed federal employees or those with a 90 day break in service). ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG
