Alaant Case Analyst - Workers' Compensation in Latham, New York
Alaant Workforce Solutions is partnering with a local organization to fill a Case Analyst position in Latham, NY. The Case Analyst plays a critical role in managing and resolving workers' compensation claims. This includes investigating claims, evaluating coverage, identifying potential fraud, and ensuring compliance with New York State Workers’ Compensation Board policies. You will be responsible for adjusting indemnity and medical claims, with a focus on closed periods of lost time and claims with potential permanency.
Hours and Benefits for the Case Analyst:
Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
Hybrid work schedule (after training period) 3 days in office / 2 remote
Salary: $58,000 - $62,000 / year
Medical / Dental / Vision / 401K / PTO and Holidays
Responsibilities for the Case Analyst:
Conduct thorough investigations via telephone interviews with injured employees, employers, and other relevant parties.
Collect and document all information accurately and professionally in the claim file.
Assess claims for compensability, recommend payment or denial, and establish appropriate case reserves following best practices.
Continuously monitor events and adjust reserves accordingly, completing required reports promptly.
Requirements for the Case Analyst:
Insurance Claims experience, with specific experience in lost time claims
High School Diploma and 3 years of experience, or Associates Degree and 2 years of experience
Experience with Workers' Compensation reporting requirements.
