Surveillance Investigator Trainee Arizona Charlie’s Boulder (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary: Under the supervision of the surveillance investigators, the surveillance investigator trainee utilizes provided equipment to identify, record, document and report illegal, unusual or suspicious activities and policy or procedure violations occurring in all gaming, non-gaming and back-of-the-house areas. Maintains knowledge of and understands the current property gaming operations, surveillance standard operating procedures and company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Monitors the activities of guests and employees using a CCTV surveillance system
Makes tape changes
Conducts player evaluations, audits and close watches of specific employees, guests and departments
Conducts VCR checks on a weekly basis
Conducts dealer pace audits on a quarterly basis
Tests for Investigator Level 1 within six months of date of hire or as required by surveillance management
Maintains a continuous self-education program to constantly expand job knowledge and takes job-related quizzes at management’s discretion to demonstrate that knowledge
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience working in law enforcement, security or surveillance systems operations is preferred
Previous gaming experience is preferred
Ability to find common sense solutions to problems and deal with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret and communicate a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Ability to communicate in a group setting as well as one-on-one situations
Ability to utilize computers and have a basic understanding of how a computer works
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Ability to visually recognize colors (a vision color test may be administered prior to being hired)
Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical)
Working indoors (more than 75% of the time)
