Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will provide leadership for the Child Life staff ensuring quality and integrity of care delivered and supervise the daily operations and activities of the child life staff

• You will plan, guide, and oversee clinical programs that are age and developmentally appropriate for ages up 0-17 years and their families

• You will assure program compliance with hospital and regulatory/accrediting agencies and on-going continuous quality improvement processes in which the team analyzes data and formulates methods in response to identified needs/problems/challenges

• You will be responsible for the overall coordination of Child Life Services and report to/ work with the Pediatric Nurse Manager to ensure Child Life Services are integrated within the organization

What qualifications you will need:

• Master’s degree in a related field preferred

• Minimum of two years Child life experience

• Child life certification by the Child life council

• BLS certified

• Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures as well as knowledge of reactions of children and families to illness and healthcare experience
