Description:
Summary:
Provide front counter service to customers, including taking food and beverage orders. Prepare requested items, work with the fellow employees to ensure orders are properly prepared in a timely manner, and efficiently manage the point of sale system.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of all menu options, take orders, and serve the prepared items to the guests
Provide legendary Starbucks service throughout every guest encounter
Prepare drink orders according to Starbucks standards
Manage cash bank, ensuring balance is accurate at the end of the shift
Check in warehouse orders and put items away in a timely manner according to procedure, utilizing proper signage
Ensure adequate supplies are available for the shift, including ribbons, comp paper, cash drop envelopes and receipt paper
Retain receipts for all transactions, and records and reconciles transactions on the point of sale system
Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Previous cash handling and customer service experience
6 months of previous experience working in high volume, fast-paced restaurant or coffeehouse environment preferred
Previous experience working in a team or group environment
Prior experience with Infogenesis systems preferred
Able to effectively communication in English, both written and verbal
Basic computer skills preferred
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
Frequently push and/or pull up to 35 lbs.
Frequently lift and/or carry up to 35 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and/or chest levels
Occasionally squat, kneel, climb, sit, and communicate via radio
Frequently distinguish between shades of color, taste, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
Constant use of hearing and vision, walking, and standing
Work Environment Potential Conditions
