Description

We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing client's growing team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this Senior Accountant role, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting-related responsibilities, including month-end close activities, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations. You will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial data and support business initiatives.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries and accruals

• Handle account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, such as cash, receivables, payables, and fixed assets

• Review financial data to ensure the accuracy of information for financial reporting purposes

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Assist in the preparation of variance analysis to explain differences between actuals and budget/forecast

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies in financial reporting

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in account reconciliations

• Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and changes in accounting policies

• Participate in special projects such as system implementations, process improvements, account clean-ups, and mergers or acquisitions

• Provide insights and analysis to management on financial results and trends

Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must have experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management and Journal Entries preparation is required

• Should be able to handle Month End Close procedures

• Experience with Accruals and Fixed Assets management is necessary

• Must be capable of Financial Statement Preparation

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles is required

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is a must.
