Aerotek Shipping Clerk in Las Vegas, Nevada

Shipping and Receiving Inspector - Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm, $18/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Shipping and Receiving Inspector responsible for ensuring that all incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials conform to specifications. The role involves using precision measuring instruments to inspect for defects and ensure accuracy in orders.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices.

  • Examine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage during manufacture or transit.

  • Compare quantity and part number of items with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.

  • Inspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation according to blueprints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications.

  • Approve or reject items and record inspection information.

  • Inspect final and production line parts, materials, and assemblies as required.

  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in shipping and receiving.

  • Proficiency in documentation, particularly with materials lists, part numbers, and weight measurements.

  • Ability to use a tape measure to a 16th of an inch.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.

  • Ability to work and communicate as part of a team to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.

  • Exceptional problem-solving ability.

  • Adaptability to a constantly changing work environment.

  • Ability to work with Made to Manage (ERP Software).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.
