About the Role:

As a Medical Assistant (MA) , you will be an essential member of our clinical care team, working closely with our providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will assist in patient assessments, perform routine diagnostic testing, and support the overall efficiency of our primary care services. This role is perfect for a proactive, empathetic professional eager to work in a collaborative environment that values your contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient intake, including measuring and recording vital signs, medical history, and routine screenings.

  • Engage with patients throughout their appointments, addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive experience.

  • Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to providers, specialists, and clinical staff.

  • Assist in clinical tasks such as changing dressings, applying bandages, removing sutures, and administering first aid under physician supervision.

  • Provide health coaching and follow-up with patients to support healthy lifestyle choices.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and maintain accurate, legal, and ethical documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Emotional Intelligence and Integrity : High degree of emotional intelligence, a strong work ethic, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Strong Communication Skills : Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and diverse teams.

  • Critical Thinking : Excellent reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations and resolve issues.

  • Proficiency in Technology : Experience with claims/quality reports, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks or similar).

  • Flexibility and Adaptability : Willingness to occasionally travel for company meetings and work with a range of seniorities and populations.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

  • At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience preferred.

  • Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare vocational training (e.g., foreign-trained physician, paramedic).

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
