Randstad is currently assisting a renowned Hotel & Casino property in Las Vegas with their search for a Gaming Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting staff and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. Starting salary $100K - $120K plus a 20% bonus.

responsibilities:

• Direct or prepare all financial reports to meet the company's requirements, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Review and interpret financial transactions, ensuring proper Casino accounting treatment and compliance.

• Manage, hire, and train accounting staff to ensure a highly productive team, providing guidance and resources to meet objectives.

• Monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate recordings and compliance with established guidelines. Investigate variances to budget and provide improvement suggestions to management.

• Ensure regulatory compliance with licenses, permits, contracts, leases, and legal agreements, supporting management in enforcing compliance.

• Analyze financial data to assist management in maintaining the financial objectives and provide insights for operational improvements.

• Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.

• Manage the fixed asset database, including new additions and disposals.

• Audit internal financial controls related to purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, and assets.

• Collaborate with other department managers to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial statements.

• Oversee the production of daily operating reports and monitor report deadlines.

qualifications:

• 2+ years of Management experience overseeing Accounting teams.

• 1+ years of recent Casino accounting experience is required

• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

• Must be able to work with financial data, analyze information, and make informed decisions.

• Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to build positive relationships across departments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts quickly.
