Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • You will, under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer and in collaboration with the Medical Director, be responsible for assuring all Trauma Center verification standards are met as required by the American College of Surgeons and the Nevada Department of Health and be responsible for compliance with all regulatory bodies, state federal and accrediting organizations

  • You will be responsible for complete operational function, program assessment, planning, organizing, implementation, budgeting, performance improvement, education, and marketing communications

  • You will be responsible for Trauma Service Line personnel as well as financial management including operational and capital budgeting

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada

  • BSN required; Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health field preferred

  • BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS - Provider status required; Instructor status preferred

  • ENPC, Emergency (CEN) or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) Certifications preferred

  • Emergency (CEN) or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) Certifications

  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in a Level I or Level 2 trauma center

  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience; Progressive leadership experience required

  • Excellent computer skills necessary to manage and manipulate a large database; Proficiency in the review and abstraction of clinical patient information from a medical record
