Job Summary and Qualifications
You will be part of the facility informatics leadership resource team that is responsible for delivering the successful implementation of Meditech advanced clinicals, Evidence Based Clinical Documentation (EBCD), Patient Keeper (PK) and associated Electronic Health Records (EHR) projects, who are responsible for coordinating the completion of project assessments and assisting with the development of education/training materials
You will participate in the facility-wide community for computerized provider order entry (CPOE), and works with the Director of Clinical Informatics to ensure advanced computer clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility
You will be responsible for delivering, supporting, and enhancing the training program for super users and responsible for directing the hospitals in the development of their education strategies and schedules
You will work with the Director of Clinical Informatics in the development of new EHR components to ensure most efficient clinical workflow
What qualifications you will need:
Current Nevada license to practice Nursing required. Independently maintains license. Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Nursing, graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required
6 months or more clinical informatics experience or equivalent (EHR) end user experience / knowledge / expertise
Advanced understanding of Meditech
Understands pertinent regulatory guidelines such as The Joint Commission (TJC) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
An understanding, enthusiasm and commitment to goals of EHR and Meaningful Use
