L V VALLEY WATER DISTRICT Biology Intern in Las Vegas, Nevada
POSITION: Biology Intern SCHEDULE: Temporary, Part time,Up to 25 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV 89106 SALARY:$16.00 - $20.00 hourly (based on education level)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and a background check.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Biology/Environmental Science or a closely related field
- Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Available to work up to 25 hours weekly
- A valid Nevada drivers license
- Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus
JOB SUMMARY: This position supports a wide variety of duties and responsibilities in service to the Water Resources Department. The SandS Division oversees restoration, monitoring and education activities at the Las Vegas Wash and Warm Springs Natural Area. Assist staff in conducting field surveys for plants and wildlife, restoration activities, and education and outreach at the Las Vegas Wash and Warm Springs Natural Area. Willing to participate in wildlife surveys and other activities that include early morning and late-night hours.
